Manchester United consider January move for Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy

Manchester United are reportedly considering a January move for Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy after the Guinea international’s impressive start to the season.

The 30-year-old has been in strong form for Dortmund, with his performances reportedly attracting interest from several major European clubs.

Manchester United monitoring Guirassy

According to Teamtalk, Manchester United are considering making an approach for Guirassy during the January transfer window.

The Premier League club have reportedly monitored the Guinean striker since 2023 but opted to sign Rasmus Højlund instead. The Denmark international struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford and now plays for Napoli.

Guirassy, meanwhile, has developed into an important attacking player for Dortmund since joining the German club.

He has scored 64 goals and provided 17 assists in 102 competitive appearances for the Black and Yellows.

Despite the reported interest from Manchester United, a mid-season departure from Dortmund is considered unlikely.

Guirassy wants to stay at Dortmund

Guirassy has also indicated that he remains committed to Dortmund, with his current contract running until 2028.

Speaking to Sport BILD, the Guinea international suggested he could even consider extending his stay if he continues performing at a high level.

“If I can maintain this level of performance in the coming years – why not?! I feel fit, and we’ll see what the future holds for me. I still have big plans here.”

Guirassy has previously addressed speculation over his future and made it clear that he deliberately chose Dortmund and remains determined to give his best for the club.

With the striker tied to Dortmund until 2028, Manchester United would face a difficult task if they decide to pursue a January deal for the Guinea international.
