La Liga 2026-27: fixtures, El Clasico dates, results and broadcast details

Barcelona will begin the 2026-27 La Liga season as back-to-back champions after winning the 2025-26 title, the club’s 29th league crown.

Hansi Flick’s side continued its domestic dominance last season, while Real Madrid, now led by Jose Mourinho, will aim to challenge strongly for the title.

The new campaign started on Saturday 15 August 2026 and is scheduled to finish on Sunday 30 May 2027.

The first El Clasico will take place at Camp Nou on Sunday 25 October 2026, with kick-off at 22:00 Saudi Arabia time and 23:00 UAE time. The return meeting is scheduled for 8 May 2027 at Santiago Bernabeu, although its kick-off time has not yet been confirmed.

Rayo Vallecano beat Espanyol 2-1 at Butarque on Tuesday 15 September 2026, while Deportivo Alaves defeated Valencia 1-0 at Mendizorroza. Elche won 3-2 against Real Madrid at Manuel Martinez Valero later that day.

On Wednesday 16 September, Atletico Madrid were beaten 4-0 by Osasuna at Riyadh Air Metropolitano. Deportivo La Coruna defeated Sevilla 1-0 at Riazor, while Barcelona lost 7-2 to Racing at Camp Nou.

The Levante v Athletic Bilbao fixture at Ciudad de Valencia was postponed. On Thursday 17 September, Getafe won 1-0 away to Real Betis at Benito Villamarin, and Malaga beat Villarreal 3-1 at La Rosaleda.

Matchweek five

Sevilla lost 1-0 to Valencia at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Friday 11 September 2026. Racing Santander beat Deportivo Alaves 2-1 at El Sardinero the following day, while Osasuna defeated Espanyol 2-0 at El Sadar.

Athletic Bilbao and Elche drew 1-1 at San Mames, and Rayo Vallecano won 4-1 away to Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu.

On Sunday 13 September, Celta Vigo drew 1-1 with Malaga at Balaidos. Levante defeated Barcelona 4-2 at Ciudad de Valencia, Getafe drew 1-1 with Deportivo La Coruna at Coliseum Alfonso Perez, and Real Sociedad beat Atletico Madrid 3-0 at Anoeta.

Villarreal completed the round with a 2-1 win over Real Betis at La Ceramica on Monday 14 September.

Matchweek four

Real Madrid won 1-0 away to Real Betis at La Cartuja on Friday 4 September 2026. Atletico Madrid beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0 at San Mames the next day, while Racing Santander defeated Rayo Vallecano 3-2 at Vallecas and Villarreal overcame Deportivo La Coruna 3-2 at La Ceramica.

Barcelona won 5-0 against Valencia at Mestalla on Sunday 6 September. Osasuna beat Deportivo Alaves 5-2 at Mendizorroza, Malaga and Levante drew 0-0 at La Rosaleda, and Espanyol drew 1-1 with Sevilla at Cornella-El Prat.

Getafe and Celta Vigo finished 1-1 at Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Monday 7 September. Elche then beat Real Sociedad 3-2 at Manuel Martinez Valero.
