Mahmoud Alaa, the defender for Zamalek Football Club, has stirred speculation about his future at the club after inquiries were made regarding his potential move to Pyramids FC at the end of his current contract.

Abdelwahed El Sayed, the director of football at Zamalek, sought clarification from Mahmoud Alaa amid reports circulating in recent hours suggesting that he had signed a three-year deal with Pyramids FC on a free transfer, with his contract set to expire at the end of the current season.

The rumors of Alaa’s potential move have added to the defensive woes of Zamalek, particularly following the injury to Mahmoud Hamdi El Wensh, who suffered a cruciate ligament injury, as well as the departure of Mohamed Abdelghany to Al Ahly Bank in the January transfer window.

While Mahmoud Alaa has acknowledged serious negotiations with Pyramids FC, he has yet to finalize any agreement, according to sources close to the player.

The looming uncertainty surrounding Alaa’s future has sparked concerns among Zamalek fans and management, given his significant contributions to the team’s defensive line.

Alaa’s solid performances and leadership qualities have been instrumental in Zamalek’s recent successes, and his departure would undoubtedly leave a void in the squad.

Pyramids FC, known for their ambitious transfer dealings in recent seasons, are reportedly keen on securing Alaa’s services as they aim to bolster their defensive lineup for the upcoming campaigns.

As negotiations continue between the parties involved, Zamalek remains hopeful of retaining Alaa’s services, but the final decision ultimately rests with the player himself, whose next move could reshape the landscape of Egyptian football.
