Eliesse Ben Seghir makes injury comeback in Bayer Leverkusen’s Europa League win

Eliesse Ben Seghir has ended his lengthy injury absence after appearing in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-0 Europa League victory over NK Celje.

The Moroccan attacker replaced Moussa Diaby in the 80th minute, marking his first competitive outing of the season and an important personal milestone.

The 21-year-old had been out since sustaining a thigh muscle injury in mid-July. Leverkusen initially expected him to miss two to three weeks, but his rehabilitation took considerably longer than anticipated.
