FK Sochi, competing in the elite Russian Premier Liga, has officially introduced the Moroccan football sensation, Yahya Attiat-Allah, commonly known as the Lion of the Atlas. The left-back has made the move from Wydad Casablanca to join the Russian outfit, and his acquisition was formally announced on Thursday, February 8, via FK Sochi’s official website.
Yahya Attiat-Allah, now donning the number 25 jersey, brings his talent and experience to FK Sochi. Having undergone training at OC Safi, the 28-year-old Moroccan international embarked on a brief stint with Volos FC in Greece in 2019.
Subsequently, in 2020, he returned to Morocco, marking a pivotal moment by joining Wydad Casablanca during the winter transfer window. His initial three-season contract was later extended.
During his tenure with Wydad, the Atlas Lion showcased his prowess in 164 matches across various competitions. His contributions included 11 goals and 23 assists, and he played a pivotal role in securing two Moroccan championships and a Champions League title with the Reds.
On the international stage, Attiat-Allah made 18 appearances for the Morocco national team, featuring prominently in six matches during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Notably, he provided a crucial assist against Portugal in the quarter-final.
