Ihlas Bebou linked with Karlsruher SC move after leaving Hoffenheim

Togo-Germany forward Ihlas Bebou, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Karlsruher SC in the 2. Bundesliga.

The reported move emerged on 15 September, with Bebou, 32, identified as a potential addition for the German second-tier side. No transfer fee or probability has been reported.

Bebou left Hoffenheim on 1 July 2026 after seven years with the Bundesliga club. He joined Hoffenheim from Hannover 96 in 2019 in a deal worth €9m.

The centre-forward has made 202 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 45 goals and providing 25 assists. He has also played 70 matches in the 2. Bundesliga, registering 11 goals and 14 assists.

His previous spell in Germany’s second tier came with Fortuna Dusseldorf, where he helped the club win the league title in the 2017-18 season before moving to Hannover later that summer.

Bebou’s career has been affected by injuries in recent seasons, but he remains an experienced option with extensive Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga football behind him. His current market value is listed at €600,000.

The link with Karlsruher comes while Bebou remains without a club following his departure from Hoffenheim, with the proposed move representing a possible return to Germany’s second tier.
