Mohamed Doumbia: Ivory Coast midfielder joins Morocco’s Hassania from Young Africans

Cote d’Ivoire midfielder Mohamed Doumbia has joined Morocco’s Hassania from Tanzanian club Young Africans.

The 27-year-old central midfielder completed the move on 15 September 2026, beginning a new chapter in the Botola Pro Inwi. Doumbia was born in Abidjan and is a right-footed player who operates primarily in the middle of the pitch.

Doumbia arrives at Hassania after a season that included spells with both Young Africans and Marumo. He joined Young Africans in August 2025 before moving to South African club Marumo on loan in January 2026. That temporary spell ended in June, when he returned to the Tanzanian side.

During his time with Young Africans, Doumbia was part of the squad that won the Tanzanian Supercup in the 2025-26 season. His departure follows that success and brings an end to his stay at the club.

The move to Hassania is the latest stage in a career that has included football in Tanzania, South Africa, the Czech Republic and Finland. Before joining Young Africans, Doumbia spent time with SC Majestic and Slovan Liberec, while his earlier career included Dukla Prague and Finnish side Ekenas IF.

Doumbia moved to Slovan Liberec from Dukla Prague in February 2022 on a free transfer. He later joined SC Majestic in January 2025, also after being without a club, before making his switch to Young Africans later that year.

He now moves into Moroccan football with Hassania, adding experience from several leagues to the club’s midfield options. His arrival also marks a return to regular club football after a campaign in which his season included a loan spell away from Young Africans.

Doumbia has joined Hassania from Young Africans, with the transfer completed on 15 September 2026.
