Ajax Amsterdam are considering a move for midfielder Yves Bissouma, who is available after his contract with Tottenham came to an end.
According to De Telegraaf, the Dutch club are exploring the possibility of signing the 30-year-old Mali international as they look to strengthen their midfield.
Bissouma has extensive experience at the highest level, having played for Lille, Brighton and Tottenham. His arrival would provide Ajax with another option in the centre of the pitch.
Jordi Cruyff is understood to be particularly supportive of the proposed deal. However, Ajax Amsterdam will face competition from several European clubs for Bissouma’s signature.
The midfielder could become the latest addition to an ambitious transfer window for Ajax Amsterdam, following the arrivals of Marcos Leonardo, Viktor Tsygankov, Sofyan Amrabat and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
