Morocco midfielder Yassine El Filali returns to Wydad Fes on free transfer

Moroccan central midfielder Yassine El Filali has joined Wydad Fes from Mouloudia on a free transfer, returning to the club he previously represented and signing a contract running until 30 June 2028.

The 31-year-old completed the move on 14 September 2026 after spending the previous part of his career with Mouloudia. El Filali initially left Wydad Fes for Mouloudia in August 2022, also on a free transfer, before making his way back to the Fes-based club.

El Filali’s first recorded spell with Wydad began in August 2019, when he moved from MAS Fes Reserve. His return gives the club a central midfielder with experience of Moroccan domestic football and continental competition.

His recent record includes 27 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi, with two assists. He also featured in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine, the Excellence Cup and the CAF Confederation Cup, making 31 appearances across the competitions recorded.

Born in Fes, El Filali stands 1.74m tall and is right-footed. His return means he will once again represent Wydad Fes after four years away, following his free transfer to Mouloudia.

El Filali has completed his free transfer back to Wydad Fes, with his new contract in place until June 2028.
