Morocco centre-back Walid Nekaila has switched to Fath Casablanca, joining the club from SCC Mohammedia on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old defender becomes a Fath Casablanca player after leaving SCC Mohammedia, where he had established himself as a regular at senior level. Nekaila’s move gives the Casablanca club a right-footed central defender who stands 1.83m tall.

Nekaila made 33 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi, playing 2,450 minutes and providing one assist. He also featured three times in the Excellence Cup, completing a further 270 minutes of football. His appearances came primarily in defence, reflecting his role as a centre-back.

The Moroccan began his senior career with SCC Mohammedia after moving up from the club’s reserve side on 1 July 2023. Before that, he had been part of the SCCM Youth set-up, joining in July 2021.

His arrival at Fath Casablanca follows a period in which he accumulated experience across domestic competitions. The defender’s record includes 36 senior appearances across the Botola Pro Inwi and Excellence Cup, giving him a substantial body of competitive football before his move.

Nekaila’s transfer was recorded at the start of the 2026-27 season, with the switch bringing an end to his time at SCC Mohammedia. He joins Fath Casablanca as a Moroccan defender with senior experience and a preference for using his right foot.

The free transfer was completed on 14 September 2026.
