With this goal, Hamdallah increased his tally to 11 goals in the Saudi league, ranking sixth in the top scorers’ list, nine goals behind Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker for Al-Nassr, who holds the top spot.
The victory helped Al-Ittihad Jeddah break a three-match losing streak and move up two places in the league standings, reaching 31 points in fifth place.
Meanwhile, Al-Taawoun suffered their twelfth defeat and fourth consecutive loss in the league, remaining with 17 points in sixteenth place, facing the threat of relegation to the second division.
It is worth noting that Al-Ittihad Jeddah extended the contract of Moroccan international Abderrazak Hamdallah until the summer of 2025, as announced by the club on February 2nd last year.
Hamdallah’s consistent performance and goal-scoring prowess have been instrumental in Al-Ittihad’s success this season, contributing significantly to their pursuit of silverware in the Saudi league.
As he continues to excel on the pitch, his impact on the team’s performance remains pivotal, solidifying his status as one of the league’s top strikers.
