Al-Hilal secured a hard-fought victory against Al-Saqr with a scoreline of 2-1 in a match held on Wednesday evening at the Benina Martyrs Stadium, as part of the tenth round of fixtures in the Libyan Premier League, known as “Dawreena”.
Al-Hilal Seals the Deal in the Final Moments
Al-Hilal took the lead with a goal scored by Ahmed Saad in the 58th minute from a long-range shot.
In the 85th minute, Al-Saqr equalized with a goal by Calvin from a direct free-kick, which hit the post and bounced into the net.
In the fifth minute of stoppage time, Al-Hilal secured the second goal from a penalty awarded by the referee for a foul on Ahmed Saad inside the penalty area.
Azouz Al-Marimi saved the initial attempt, but the rebound was dispatched to the right of the Al-Saqr goalkeeper, clinching the winning goal for Al-Hilal.
With this victory, Al-Hilal increased their points tally to 19, closing in on the competition for the top spot in the first group of “Dawreena”.
Meanwhile, Al-Saqr’s points remained at six, placing them in the tenth (last) position in the group standings.
