Najib Koumya: Morocco defender joins HSM Khouribga on free transfer

Morocco centre-back Najib Koumya has joined HSM Khouribga from O. Khouribga on a free transfer, returning to the club scene at the age of 32.

Koumya, who signed on 12 September 2026, has agreed a contract with HSM Khouribga until 30 June 2027. The move keeps the experienced defender in Moroccan football after his spell with O. Khouribga came to an end.

The right-footed defender has made 73 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi during his career, scoring twice. He has also played twice in the Moroccan Cup, giving him experience in both league and domestic knockout football.

Standing at 1.87m, Koumya brings a central defensive profile to his new side. His most recent club was O. Khouribga, where he had returned after previous spells elsewhere in Morocco and abroad.

Before rejoining O. Khouribga in September 2023, Koumya played for Al-Soqour Club. He had earlier represented CIS Marrakech and Rapide Oued Zem, while his first recorded spell with O. Khouribga began in January 2019.

Koumya’s previous move to O. Khouribga was also completed without a transfer fee, following his departure from Al-Soqour Club. His latest switch therefore represents another free transfer in a career that has included several changes of club.

The defender has no recorded senior international appearances in the information available, although he is a Moroccan national and has continued his club career in the country’s domestic game.

HSM Khouribga have now secured Koumya’s services through the end of June 2027.
