The first football team of Zamalek Club is set to play two friendly matches on Thursday against the 2003 and 2005 teams, as requested by Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, to assess the players’ technical levels during the international break.
The coaching staff notified the players of the matches against the 2003 and 2005 teams at the club’s stadium.
The first match is scheduled for 10:30 AM, while the second friendly will kick off at 12:30 PM.
Portuguese coach Gomez preferred facing youth teams in these friendlies to observe all his players and evaluate their technical abilities, in addition to monitoring standout talents within the youth squads.
In a separate development, Jose Gomez, the head coach of Zamalek’s first football team, held a private session with Mahmoud Alaa and Saif Jafar during Wednesday’s training session at the club’s stadium.
Gomez took the opportunity to provide tactical instructions to the duo, focusing on defensive organization and transitioning from defense to attack, which will be crucial aspects during the team’s training sessions.
Zamalek’s first football team continues its preparations for the upcoming match against Ismaily scheduled for February 19th as part of the Premier League’s thirteenth round.
