Anass Salah-Eddine linked with Panathinaikos move from Roma

Anass Salah-Eddine, the Moroccan-Dutch left-back currently at Roma, is being linked with a move to Greek Super League club Panathinaikos.

The proposed transfer is rated at 71%, although no agreement has been confirmed. Salah-Eddine remains under contract with Roma until 30 June 2028 and is valued at €12m.

The 24-year-old joined Roma from FC Twente in February 2025 for €8.5m before spending the 2025-26 season on loan at PSV Eindhoven. He returned to the Italian club at the end of June after helping PSV win the Dutch title.

Salah-Eddine has yet to make a Serie A or Champions League appearance for Roma this season. He did feature four times for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup, starting two of those matches.

The defender began his senior career with Ajax before moving to Twente, initially on loan, and later joined Roma after making 17 appearances for Twente during the first half of the 2024-25 campaign.

Panathinaikos play in Greece’s top flight, while Roma compete in Serie A. The rumour places Salah-Eddine’s future in Athens despite his existing long-term contract in Rome.
