Kingsley Coman will miss Al Nassr’s Saudi Pro League meeting with Al Khaleej after scans confirmed the winger has suffered a minor hamstring tear.
The France international is continuing his rehabilitation programme at Al Nassr’s training base, according to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah.
Coman sustained the injury during Al Nassr’s match against Al-Ittihad in the fifth round of the league season. His absence from the seventh-round fixture against Al Khaleej has now been confirmed.
The club’s medical staff will assess whether he has recovered sufficiently to feature against Al Ain in the AFC Champions League Elite.
Al Nassr begin their continental campaign against the UAE side next Tuesday, with the match scheduled to take place at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. A decision on Coman’s availability is expected to depend on his progress during the remainder of his treatment and rehabilitation.
Al Nassr secured their fifth victory in six league matches by beating Abha in the sixth round. The result kept them level at the top of the Saudi league with Al Hilal, with both clubs having collected 15 points.
