Portugal and Guinea-Bissau midfielder Bubacar Djalo has joined Pacos Ferreira from Serbian club Radnicki Nis on a free transfer, signing a contract until 30 June 2027.

The 29-year-old defensive midfielder moves to the Portuguese side after spending the opening weeks of the 2026-27 season with Radnicki Nis. He switches from Serbia’s top flight to Liga 3, with the transfer completed on 9 September.

Djalo began his senior career in Portugal after progressing through the youth systems at Sporting, having also spent time at Sacavenense. He represented Sporting B and Sporting CP Under-23 before leaving the club for Finland in January 2020.

The midfielder spent two years with HJK Helsinki, where he won the Finnish championship in 2020 and 2021. He also lifted the Finnish Cup in 2020 during his time with the Helsinki club.

Djalo moved to the United States in February 2022, joining Rochester NY on a free transfer, before switching to Finland’s FC Lahti in January 2023. He then moved outside Europe in July 2024, joining Al-Tadamon SC, and returned to Europe the following year with Radnicki Nis.

A right-footed player standing 1.88 metres tall, Djalo adds experience in defensive midfield to the Pacos Ferreira squad. His arrival marks a return to Portugal after more than six years spent playing abroad.

Pacos Ferreira have completed Djalo’s free transfer, with the midfielder contracted to the club until June 2027.
