Nasser Maher says Pyramids are targeting Egyptian Premier League title after El Gouna win

Nasser Maher says Pyramids are competing to win every available trophy and hopes the club can secure the Egyptian Premier League title after maintaining their perfect start to the season.

Pyramids extended their winning run in the league with a 1-0 victory over El Gouna in the fourth round. The result means they have taken maximum points from their opening four matches.

Maher welcomed the victory and underlined the team’s determination to challenge across all competitions. Speaking to On Sport, he said: “We play to compete for all the trophies, and all the players are ready to participate despite the fixture congestion between the league and Africa.”

The Pyramids player said the squad was being prepared to cope with the demands of the schedule, with the team competing in both domestic league matches and African competition. He added that the coaching staff were working to ensure every player was ready to contribute when required.

“The coach prepares all the players to participate because of the fixture congestion, in order to achieve the required objective, which is winning,” Maher said.

Pyramids’ latest success against El Gouna continued their strong run in the Egyptian Premier League and kept their record perfect after four rounds. The narrow scoreline was enough to secure another three points and preserve the side’s winning momentum.

Maher said the squad’s focus extended beyond individual matches, with the club aiming to compete for honours throughout the campaign. He also made clear that winning the league was a specific ambition for the team.

“Our goal is to win the league, and we hope to achieve this trophy,” he concluded.
