Ghana forward Shafiu Mumuni joins Al-Qasim SC on free transfer

Ghanaian centre-forward Shafiu Mumuni has joined Iraqi club Al-Qasim SC on a free transfer, bringing his time with Al-Ramadi to an end.

The move was completed on 8 September 2026, with the 31-year-old switching clubs within Iraq. Mumuni arrives at Al-Qasim after representing Al-Ramadi, although the transfer does not include a fee.

Mumuni’s arrival gives Al-Qasim an experienced centre-forward for the new campaign. The Ghanaian’s listed position places him at the focal point of the attack, where he will be expected to operate as the side’s central striking option.

For Al-Ramadi, the transfer marks the departure of a senior attacking player. Mumuni’s move also represents a fresh chapter in his career after his spell with the Iraqi club, while Al-Qasim become his new professional home.
