Zambia left-back David Hamansenya joins Slovan Liberec on loan from Leganes

Zambia left-back David Hamansenya has joined Czech club Slovan Liberec on loan from CD Leganes B until 30 June 2027.

The 19-year-old defender completed the move on 8 September and will play in the Czech Republic’s Chance Liga during the 2026-27 season. He returns to Leganes at the end of the loan, with his parent club recorded as CD Leganes rather than Leganes’ senior side.

Hamansenya made the switch after beginning the current campaign with Leganes B. He had moved into the Spanish club’s reserve team from Leganes Under-19s on 1 July 2026, following a period with Czech side Artis Brno.

His move to Slovan Liberec represents a return to the Czech football system. Hamansenya joined Artis Brno on loan from Leganes Under-19s on 21 January 2026 and returned to Spain at the end of that temporary spell on 30 June.

Before joining the Leganes academy, Hamansenya had been with Shamuel FC. His previous clubs have therefore included teams in Zambia, Spain and the Czech Republic, with the latest move taking him back to the country where he previously spent part of the 2025-26 season.

Hamansenya is listed as a left-back and stands 1.81 metres tall. He is right-footed, despite operating on the left side of defence, and was born on 24 June 2007.

The transfer comes with a contract at Slovan Liberec running through the end of June 2027. His recorded market value is €100,000, although no transfer fee has been specified for the loan.

Hamansenya had not made a first-team appearance for Leganes B in the opening four possible league matches of the 2026-27 campaign before moving to Slovan Liberec. He now joins a club competing in the Czech top flight, with the loan providing the next stage of his senior career.

The move follows a series of changes in Hamansenya’s club career over the past two seasons. He first left Shamuel FC for Leganes Under-19s in January 2025, later spent time with Artis Brno, and progressed to Leganes B before completing his latest transfer.

The Zambia defender’s loan to Slovan Liberec is scheduled to run until 30 June 2027, when he is due to return to CD Leganes.
