Raja Casablanca interested in signing Danish-Moroccan attacker Younes Bakiz on loan

Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca are targeting a loan move for Danish-Moroccan attacking midfielder Younes Bakiz as they look to strengthen their squad before the new season.

The 27-year-old Silkeborg IF player has emerged as a transfer target for the Casablanca club, with Raja reportedly preferring a temporary deal over a permanent move.

According to AfricaFoot, Raja’s management are particularly attracted by Bakiz’s versatility and ability to operate across several attacking positions.

Raja prefer loan deal

Bakiz’s market value is believed to be above €1 million, making a permanent transfer a significant financial commitment for Raja.

The Green Eagles are therefore pushing for a loan agreement, which would allow them to add an experienced European-based player without placing excessive pressure on their transfer budget.

Discussions are expected to focus on the structure of a potential loan deal between Raja and Silkeborg.

Versatility appeals to Raja

Bakiz can play as an attacking midfielder, winger or central striker, making him an attractive option for Raja as they seek greater flexibility in attack.

The Danish-Moroccan forward made 24 appearances in the Danish Superliga during the 2025-26 season, scoring twice and providing three assists.

Across all competitions, he featured 29 times for Silkeborg, contributing two goals and four assists.

Bakiz has built significant experience in Danish football throughout his career.

Before joining Silkeborg, he represented FC Roskilde, Viborg FF and Aalborg BK, gaining experience across different levels of the Danish game.
