Sekou Camara joins Chindia from CSA Steaua on free transfer
Guinea-Albania centre-forward Sekou Camara has joined Romanian Liga 2 club Chindia from CSA Steaua on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old striker switches clubs within Liga 2 after spending the opening part of the 2026-27 season with CSA Steaua. Camara joined Steaua from ACSM Poli Iasi on 1 July, also on a free transfer, before moving to Chindia on 7 September.
Camara had made six Liga 2 appearances for Steaua this season, scoring once, and also featured twice in the Romanian Cup, providing one assist. He started in 83% of his league appearances and played every minute of Steaua’s two cup matches.
The forward, who was born in Conakry, has represented both Guinea and Albania in terms of nationality. Standing at 1.83m, Camara is a right-footed centre-forward and has built much of his career in Romania and Albania.
Before joining Steaua, he spent the second half of the 2024-25 season with ACSM Poli Iasi, having arrived from Unirea Slobozia on a free transfer. He had joined Unirea from FC Botosani in July 2024, also without a fee being paid.
Camara’s career has included several spells with Romanian and Albanian clubs. He first moved to FC Botosani in October 2020 as a free agent after leaving Albanian side Beselidhja. He later spent time on loan with ACSM Poli Iasi before returning to Botosani in June 2022.
Earlier in his career, Camara played for Beselidhja, KF Teuta and Flamurtari FC in Albania. His first recorded senior move came in 2015, when he joined KF Luzi United on a free transfer.
Chindia have added a forward with experience across both Romanian and Albanian football, while Camara begins his latest chapter in Liga 2 after two appearances in the Romanian Cup and six league matches at the start of the campaign.
Camara’s move from CSA Steaua to Chindia was completed on 7 September 2026.
