Badr Gaddarine joins COD Meknes from Ittihad Tanger on free transfer

Morocco left-back Badr Gaddarine has joined COD Meknes from Ittihad Tanger on a free transfer, with the 28-year-old signing a contract running until 30 June 2028.

Gaddarine moves across the Botola Pro Inwi after spending the previous part of his career with Ittihad Tanger. He joined the club in January 2025 as a free agent and now returns to the league with COD Meknes, completing the move on 7 September 2026.

The Casablanca-born defender has built extensive experience in Moroccan football, making 140 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi and contributing six goals and nine assists. He has also played 38 matches in the CAF Champions League, scoring once and providing one assist.

Gaddarine is a left-footed defender whose senior career includes two spells with Wydad Casablanca, alongside a period at Mouloudia. He first moved into Wydad’s senior side from the club’s under-19 team in 2017 before later leaving the club for Mouloudia in August 2022. He returned to Wydad in January 2024 on a free transfer.

His time at Wydad brought the most significant honours of his career. Gaddarine won the CAF Champions League twice, in 2016-17 and 2021-22, and was part of four Moroccan championship-winning sides in 2016-17, 2018-19, 2020-21 and 2021-22. He also lifted the CAF Super Cup with the club in 2017-18.

Gaddarine’s record includes appearances in the Moroccan Throne Cup, the Club World Cup and the CAF Super Cup, adding continental and international club experience to his domestic career. His move to COD Meknes keeps him in Morocco’s top flight and gives the club a 28-year-old option at left-back.

COD Meknes have completed the signing of Badr Gaddarine on a free transfer, with his new contract lasting until June 2028.
