PSG reject €120m Al Hilal bid for Achraf Hakimi

Paris Saint-Germain have rejected a €120m proposal from Al Hilal for Achraf Hakimi, according to Fichajes, with the French champions unwilling to discuss the sale of one of the key players in Luis Enrique’s squad.

The Saudi Pro League club attempted to take advantage of the fact that the transfer window in Saudi Arabia remains open, despite the closure of the French market. Al Hilal had hoped to secure a major signing by making a substantial offer for the Morocco international.

However, PSG are reported to have categorically turned down the approach and have no intention of opening negotiations for Hakimi. The Parisian club regard the right-back as a central part of their team and are not prepared to weaken their squad, even for a fee that would represent a significant profit.

PSG paid €60m to sign Hakimi from Inter Milan in 2021. A sale for €120m would therefore have allowed the club to double its initial investment and record a major capital gain.

Hakimi remains an undisputed part of Enrique’s tactical plans. His pace, attacking contribution and ability to operate as both a defender and a wing-back have made him an important figure in the PSG system.

The 26-year-old is under contract at the Parc des Princes until 30 June 2029. His annual salary is reported to be €14,550,000, equivalent to 9,457,500,000 FCFA. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value at €80m.

Hakimi has also spoken about his relationship with the Parisian club, saying: “Nous sommes devenus une famille”. The Morocco international has discussed his historic achievements, Enrique and the 2026 World Cup, while former Morocco defender Talal El Karkouri has examined PSG’s ambitions for stability, Hakimi and the club’s wider transfer plans.

The decision to reject Al Hilal’s offer underlines PSG’s determination to retain the core of their squad. Despite the size of the bid and the potential financial return, the club’s priority is to maintain continuity around players considered essential to Enrique’s plans.
