Walid Kridene: Tunisia goalkeeper joins AS Guettar on free transfer

Tunisia goalkeeper Walid Kridene has joined AS Guettar from US Bousalem on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old completed the move on 6 September 2026, switching clubs after two seasons with US Bousalem. Kridene, who stands 1.88m tall and is right-footed, becomes part of the AS Guettar squad in the latest move of a career spent entirely in Tunisian football.

Kridene moved to US Bousalem from CO Medenine on 1 September 2024, also as a free transfer. He had spent the previous season with CO Medenine after leaving ES Jemmal in August 2023.

His time at ES Jemmal followed a free transfer from EGS Gafsa in September 2022. Kridene joined EGS Gafsa after leaving ES Sahel, where he had been part of the senior set-up following his progression from ES Sahel U21.

The goalkeeper’s career also includes a loan spell with US Ben Guerdane during the 2017-18 season. He joined the club from ES Sahel on 28 August 2017 and returned to his parent club at the end of the campaign.

Kridene initially moved into senior football at ES Sahel on 1 July 2017 after coming through the club’s under-21 side. His subsequent transfers have taken him to US Ben Guerdane, EGS Gafsa, ES Jemmal, CO Medenine and US Bousalem before his latest switch to AS Guettar.

The move gives AS Guettar an experienced goalkeeper with a series of domestic club changes behind him. Kridene’s most recent transfer was finalised after his two-year spell at US Bousalem, where he arrived following his time at CO Medenine.

Kridene has now changed clubs for the sixth time since moving into senior football, with each of his last four permanent moves recorded as a free transfer. His only temporary move was the loan spell at US Ben Guerdane in 2017-18.

The Tunisia goalkeeper’s move from US Bousalem to AS Guettar was completed on 6 September 2026.
