Ecuador’s Domenica Arboleda inspires commanding Ghana win at Women’s U20 World Cup

Ecuador began their Women’s U20 World Cup campaign in emphatic fashion, beating Ghana 3-0 at Sosnowiec Arena on Sunday, 6 September 2026.

The result gives Ecuador sole possession of first place in Group C after the opening round of matches. Their victory was built on a decisive first-half performance before a second-half goal ended any remaining hope of a Ghana comeback.
