Poire-sur-Vie sign Senegal striker Ansou Sow from Moulins-Yzeure
Senegalese centre-forward Ansou Sow has joined French club Poire-sur-Vie from Moulins-Yzeure on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old completed the move on 4 September 2026 and will continue his career in France, with Poire-sur-Vie competing in National 1 Group B. Sow becomes part of the club’s attacking options after leaving Moulins-Yzeure, where he spent the 2025-26 season.
Sow was born in Dakar and stands 1.77m tall. He is a right-footed striker whose senior career has included appearances in Ligue 1, Ligue 2, National 1 and National 2, as well as domestic cup football.
His recorded career figures amount to 150 appearances, 18 goals and 11 assists across those competitions. His most productive return came in National 1 Group A, where he scored seven goals in 19 appearances. He also scored three goals in 24 National 2 Group G matches and three in 21 National 1 Group C appearances.
Before joining Poire-sur-Vie, Sow moved through several French clubs. He joined Moulins-Yzeure from Chateaubriant in July 2025, also on a free transfer, having spent the previous campaign at Chateaubriant after joining from a period without a club.
Earlier in his career, Sow represented Les Herbiers, Stade Briochin and FC Chambly Oise. He began his senior pathway with RC Lens B after progressing from the club’s under-19 side, having previously played for Senegalese club ASC Jaraaf and Ouakam.
Sow’s career has therefore been built largely through France’s professional and semi-professional divisions, with his move to Poire-sur-Vie marking his latest club change. His only Ligue 1 appearance came during his time in the RC Lens system, while he also featured in the Coupe de France and Coupe Gambardella.
The transfer is Sow’s third successive free move, following his switches to Moulins-Yzeure and Chateaubriant. No transfer fee was paid for his arrival at Poire-sur-Vie, and no contract length has been announced.
Sow’s move to Poire-sur-Vie was completed on 4 September 2026.
