Jovane Camara switches to Felgueiras for Liga Portugal 2 loan

Guinea-Bissau forward Jovane Camara has joined Felgueiras on loan from Guarda FC in a move taking him into Liga Portugal 2. The 22-year-old centre-forward completed the transfer on 4 September 2026, with the loan running until 30 June 2027.

Camara arrives after starting the 2026-27 campaign with Guarda FC in Portugal’s Campeonato de Portugal Serie B. He made one appearance in the Taca de Portugal before his move and scored once, finding the net in a 1-0?

Felgueiras will be Camara’s third Portuguese club. He moved to Guarda FC from Cartagena U19 on a free transfer in July 2023, having previously joined the Spanish youth side as a free agent in July 2022.

Born in Bissau on 20 January 2004, Camara stands 1.85m tall and operates primarily through the middle of the attack. He is right-footed and joins a Felgueiras side competing in the second tier of Portuguese football.

The forward had not featured in the Campeonato de Portugal Serie B this season before completing his switch, while his only competitive appearance came in the domestic cup. His goal arrived during that brief involvement, with Camara now moving to a club in a higher division.

The transfer also represents a change in the level of competition for the striker after three seasons with Guarda FC, where he established the next stage of his senior career following his departure from Cartagena’s under-19 side.

Camara’s current agreement with Felgueiras is due to end on 30 June 2027, when he is scheduled to return to Guarda FC. The move gives the Portuguese club a new centre-forward option for the remainder of the 2026-27 campaign.

Felgueiras have completed the loan signing of Guinea-Bissau striker Jovane Camara from Guarda FC until 30 June 2027.
