East Fife sign dual-nationality defender Hamid Seisay from Walthamstow
Hamid Seisay, the England and Sierra Leone centre-back, has joined East Fife from Walthamstow on a free transfer.
The 20-year-old completed the move to the Scottish League One club on 4 September 2026, becoming an addition to East Fife’s defensive options. Seisay plays primarily in central defence and arrives after a short spell with Walthamstow.
Seisay joined Walthamstow from Northwood FC on 11 August, also on a free transfer. His move to East Fife follows less than a month later, marking another change of club during the opening weeks of the 2026-27 season.
Before joining Northwood, Seisay spent part of the 2025-26 campaign with Stotfold, having moved there from Arlesey Town in September 2025. He had previously returned to Walthamstow in July 2025 after leaving the club for Arlesey Town.
The defender began the sequence of recent moves with Walthamstow after leaving Rotherham Under-18s in March 2025. His career record also includes two appearances in the FA Youth Cup, with 152 minutes played in the competition.
Seisay was born on 20 February 2006 and holds English and Sierra Leonean nationality. His arrival gives East Fife a young centre-back with experience of moving between clubs in England’s non-league system and youth football.
East Fife compete in League One, while Walthamstow are not listed with a league in the transfer record. No contract expiry date has been announced for Seisay following his move to Scotland.
The transfer was completed on 4 September, with Seisay leaving Walthamstow to join East Fife as a free agent.
