Goztepe secure England and Nigeria midfielder Tino Anjorin from Torino

England and Nigeria midfielder Tino Anjorin has joined Turkish Super Lig club Goztepe from Torino on loan, adding a 24-year-old central midfielder to the squad for the 2026-27 campaign.

The move takes Anjorin to Turkey after a short spell in Italy with Torino, who signed him from Empoli for €4.5m on 1 July 2026. His agreement with Goztepe runs until 30 June 2027.

Anjorin made one appearance for Torino in the Italy Cup this season, playing 26 minutes, but did not feature in Serie A before switching clubs. He moves to Goztepe with a market value of €4m and will wear the colours of a side competing in Turkey’s top flight.

Born in Poole, Anjorin came through Chelsea’s academy and represented the club at youth and under-23 level before moving into senior football. He joined Empoli from Chelsea on a free transfer in August 2024, following a series of loan spells during his time in the London club’s system.

Those temporary moves included spells with Lokomotiv Moscow, Huddersfield and Portsmouth. He helped Portsmouth win the English third tier in the 2023-24 season before returning to Chelsea’s under-21 side at the end of that campaign.

Anjorin also has a Champions League winners’ medal from Chelsea’s 2020-21 campaign, although his senior career has included only limited first-team opportunities at the club. He was part of Chelsea’s youth side that won the English Youth League and FA Youth Cup in 2017-18.

The central midfielder is right-footed and stands 1.86m tall. His arrival gives Goztepe a player with experience of English academy football, domestic loan moves and competition in Italy’s top two levels.

He spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Empoli from Torino before returning to the Turin club at the end of June. Torino then made the move permanent at the start of July, but Anjorin has now left on another loan move only two months later.

Goztepe have therefore completed the signing of Anjorin from Torino on a loan deal lasting until 30 June 2027.
