FC Sion eye Swiss-Angolan winger Dereck Kutesa after AEK Athens start

Swiss-Angolan winger Dereck Kutesa is being linked with a move from AEK Athens to FC Sion, with the Swiss club reportedly considering a deal for the 28-year-old.

Kutesa joined AEK from Servette on a free transfer in July 2025 and helped the Athens club win the Greek championship in 2026. He remains under contract until 30 June 2028, meaning any move to Sion would need to be agreed with AEK.

The left winger has made one appearance in the current Super League 1 campaign, playing 10 minutes without scoring or providing an assist. He has not featured in AEK’s listed Greek Cup, Champions League qualifying or Greek Super Cup matches this season.

Kutesa began his senior career with Servette before moving to Basel, and has also played for FC Luzern, FC St Gallen, Stade Reims and Zulte Waregem. He returned to Switzerland with Servette in 2022, winning the Swiss Cup in 2024 before his move to Greece.

His market value is listed at €3.5m. A transfer to Sion would represent a return to the Swiss league, where Kutesa established himself during his second spell at Servette.

Kutesa currently remains an AEK Athens player, with two years left on his contract beyond the current season.
