Eddy Gnahore linked with CFR Cluj move after FCSB switch
French-Ivorian midfielder Eddy Gnahore is being linked with a move from FCSB to fellow Romanian SuperLiga club CFR Cluj.
The 32-year-old defensive midfielder joined FCSB from FC Dinamo on a free transfer on 13 July, but has emerged as a reported target for CFR Cluj less than two months into his spell with the Bucharest club.
Gnahore has made four SuperLiga appearances this season, playing 198 minutes, while also featuring twice in Conference League qualifying. He scored once in one Romanian Cup appearance, but has not registered a goal or assist in league competition.
He began the campaign with limited involvement for FCSB, starting 29% of the club’s possible league matches and accounting for 31% of their available minutes. His Conference League qualifying involvement was slightly higher, with two appearances and one start.
The midfielder’s current deal with FCSB runs until 30 June 2028. Any move to CFR Cluj would therefore involve a transfer agreement between the two SuperLiga clubs rather than a free transfer.
Gnahore has spent much of his senior career in Italy and France, including spells with Napoli, Palermo and Amiens, before moving to Ascoli in 2022. He joined Dinamo in January 2024 and left after one-and-a-half seasons to sign for FCSB.
For now, Gnahore remains an FCSB player under contract through the end of the 2027-28 season.
