Ethan Nwaneri could make Borussia Dortmund debut against Hoffenheim

Borussia Dortmund manager Niko Kovac has hinted that new signing Ethan Nwaneri could make his debut against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The 19-year-old has quickly joined up with his new teammates following his move to the German club and could be handed an immediate opportunity.

Kovac said Dortmund were pleased to have secured a replacement following the injury to Konstantinos Konstantelias.

“First of all, we are very happy that we were able to find a very good replacement so quickly after Konstantelias’ injury,” said Kovac at his pre-match press conference.

Kovac impressed by Nwaneri’s ability

The Dortmund manager revealed that he had already been impressed by what he had seen from the teenager in training.

“He is a player who truly possesses technical skills. We saw that in training today. I am very satisfied.”
