Kevin Yamga leaves Moroccan champions for Cong An HCMC move

French-Cameroonian winger Kevin Yamga has joined Cong An HCMC from MAS Fes, completing a move to Vietnam’s V.League 1 on 3 September 2026.

The 29-year-old right winger arrives after helping MAS Fes win the Moroccan championship during the 2025-26 season. Yamga made 22 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi campaign and registered two assists.

Yamga spent one season with MAS Fes after joining the club from Iranian side FC Nassaji in July 2025. That move followed a spell with Esteghlal, where he won the Iranian championship in the 2021-22 season and the Iranian Super Cup the following year.

He has now moved on to a new league and country, with Cong An HCMC becoming his latest club in a career that has included spells across Europe, Africa and Asia. The Paris-born player began his senior career in Italy after progressing through Chievo’s youth system, winning the Italian Youth Championship with Chievo Primavera in 2013-14.

Yamga subsequently gained experience through loan moves to Robur Siena, Arezzo, Carpi and Pescara before leaving Chievo for Desportivo Aves in Portugal in 2019. He later played for Vejle BK in Denmark and moved to Esteghlal in October 2021.

The winger’s record includes 90 appearances and 26 goals in the Persian Gulf League, as well as 28 appearances and three goals in Serie C-A and 25 appearances with four goals in Serie C-B. He has also featured in Portugal’s Liga Portugal and France’s Ligue 2.

Yamga is listed at 1.87m and favours his right foot. His arrival gives Cong An HCMC a player with experience in several domestic competitions and a recent league title on his CV.

The move also marks Yamga’s second change of club since the start of the 2025-26 season, following his transfer from FC Nassaji to MAS Fes. He now begins a new chapter with Cong An HCMC in Vietnam’s top flight.
