Colin Dagba joins Carrarese as former PSG defender moves to Serie B

French-Beninese defender Colin Dagba has joined Italian club Carrarese after spending two months without a club. The 27-year-old right-back has signed a contract running until 30 June 2028.

Dagba moves to Carrarese in Serie B following his departure from Belgian side Beerschot VA, whom he left on 1 July 2026. He had joined Beerschot from Paris St-Germain on a free transfer in September 2024.

A right-footed full-back, Dagba began his senior career with PSG after progressing through the club’s youth system. He made 76 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring once and providing three assists, while also featuring seven times in the Champions League.

His time in Paris brought three French league titles, two French Cups, one French League Cup and two French Super Cups. Dagba was part of the PSG squad that won the league in 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2021-22.

He also spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Strasbourg and moved temporarily to AJ Auxerre in 2023-24. At Auxerre, he helped the club win the French second-tier title and secure promotion to the top flight.

Dagba made 16 Ligue 2 appearances during that campaign before returning to PSG at the end of the loan. His move to Beerschot followed later that year, bringing an end to his long association with the French champions.

Carrarese have now secured Dagba’s services for the next two seasons, with the defender joining the club ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. He becomes part of the squad competing in Italy’s Serie B after leaving Beerschot earlier in the summer.

The move to Carrarese was completed on 3 September 2026, with Dagba signing through to June 2028.
