Brazil boss Ancelotti reunites with Real Madrid family at Valdebebas

Carlo Ancelotti says Real Madrid remains “home and family” to him after returning to the club’s training ground during a visit to check on Brazil’s players.

The Brazil manager was at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas base on Thursday, combining his duties as national-team coach with a personal return to the club where he spent a significant part of his managerial career.

“Real Madrid is home, family and everything,” Ancelotti said. “I had a wonderful time here and I have incredible memories.”

The Italian added that his relationship with the club had changed since leaving his coaching role.

“I have gone from being a coach to being a Real Madrid supporter, and one of the most passionate supporters,” he said. “Whenever Real Madrid play, I sit in front of the television to watch them.”

Ancelotti explained that his visit had two purposes: to monitor the condition of Brazil internationals at the club and to revisit a place that remains important to him.

“I am here in a double role, as Brazil national-team coach and also personally to say hello, return to a place where I spent a long time, and meet the Brazilian players who are currently recovering,” he said. “It has been a beautiful morning.”

The players Ancelotti met were Endrick, Vinicius Junior, Eder Militao and Rodrygo, all of whom are part of the Brazilian contingent at Real Madrid. His visit came as he followed their recovery at the club’s training complex.

Ancelotti also shared a photograph on his official Instagram account showing him alongside the four players. He described the meeting as another reunion with the wider Real Madrid family.

“A productive morning of work with our players at Valdebebas,” he wrote. “A special reunion once again with the great Madrid family. Thank you for all this love and support.”

The former Milan and Bayern Munich manager has a long association with Real Madrid, and his comments reflected the continued affection he feels for the club despite now leading Brazil.

His appearance at Valdebebas allowed him to maintain both connections: carrying out his responsibilities with the national team while returning, in his own words, as a supporter to a club he regards as home.
