Wydad close in on $300,000 deal for Telstar striker Soufiane Hetli
Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca are close to completing a deal to sign Dutch-based striker Soufiane Hetli from SC Telstar.
The 25-year-old centre-forward is expected to join Wydad in a transfer worth around $300,000, as the Casablanca club continues to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new season.
Hetli has emerged as Wydad’s latest attacking target, with negotiations understood to be at an advanced stage and the transfer nearing completion.
The move would see the striker leave Dutch side SC Telstar for a new challenge in Morocco, where he is expected to add further depth and competition to Wydad’s forward line.
Wydad have been active in the transfer market as they look to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts. The potential arrival of Hetli would represent another significant addition to their attacking department.
At 25, Hetli is entering a key stage of his career and a move to one of Africa’s most prominent clubs would provide him with an opportunity to compete at a higher level.
Wydad, one of Morocco’s most successful clubs, will hope Hetli can provide additional goals and attacking options as they pursue domestic and continental success.
The transfer is yet to be formally completed, but with the two clubs closing in on an agreement, Hetli’s move to Wydad appears increasingly likely.
