Roma consider move for Senegal midfielder Krepin Diatta
Senegal midfielder Krepin Diatta, currently without a club after leaving Monaco, is being linked with a move to Roma in Serie A.
Diatta, 27, left Monaco on 1 July 2026 after more than five years with the French club. He joined Monaco from Club Brugge in January 2021 for a reported €16.7m and made 114 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring six goals and providing six assists.
The right-sided midfielder featured in all four of Senegal’s possible matches at the 2026 World Cup, starting every game and completing 100% of the available minutes. He did not score or register an assist during the tournament.
Diatta began his European career with Norwegian side Sarpsborg 08 before moving to Club Brugge, where he won three Belgian league titles. He also collected the Belgian Super Cup with the Bruges club.
His current market value is listed at €6m, although his status without a club means any move to Roma would not involve a transfer fee. No agreement has been confirmed, and the reported interest remains at the rumour stage.
Diatta’s departure from Monaco leaves him available for a new club, with Roma currently identified as the Serie A side linked with the Senegal international.
