Bac Ninh consider move for unattached Egypt-Denmark winger Alexander Jakobsen

Alexander Jakobsen, the Egypt-Denmark winger currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Vietnamese side Bac Ninh in V.League 1.

The 32-year-old has been unattached since leaving RKC Waalwijk on 1 July 2025. He joined the Dutch club from Kazakhstan’s Zhenis on a free transfer in August 2024, but made his next move a year later.

Jakobsen, who plays primarily on the left wing, has experience across leagues in Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Egypt, Georgia and Kazakhstan. His career record includes 79 Allsvenskan appearances, seven goals and eight assists, along with 20 Premier League appearances and one goal.

He was part of the Dinamo Batumi side that won the Georgian championship in the 2022-23 season, having joined the club as a free agent in January 2023. Earlier in his career, Jakobsen also played for Norrkoping, Viborg, Bodø/Glimt, Falkenbergs FF, Sarpsborg 08, Wadi Degla and Smouha.

Born in Hvidovre, Denmark, Jakobsen represented Egypt at under-20 level and won the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations with the country in 2013.

No agreement has been confirmed, and the proposed move to Bac Ninh remains at the rumour stage. Jakobsen’s current status means any transfer would involve a move from an unattached player rather than a deal with his former club.
