Daniel Job swaps Kongsvinger for Dallas in record €4.5m MLS move

Nigeria winger Daniel Job has joined Dallas from Norwegian club Kongsvinger for €4.5m, completing a move to Major League Soccer after making a decisive impact in the OBOS-ligaen.

The 21-year-old left winger moves to the United States following a productive 2026 campaign in Norway. Job made 19 league appearances for Kongsvinger, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists. He also contributed one assist in his only appearance in the NM-Cup.

Job started 90% of Kongsvinger’s league matches and played 88% of the club’s available minutes in the competition. His 14 goal contributions accounted for 26% of the side’s league total, underlining his involvement in their attacking play before the switch to Dallas.

The Nigerian joined Kongsvinger from Sarpsborg 08 on 6 February 2026 in a free transfer. His time at Sarpsborg had included a loan spell at Egersund during the 2024-25 season, where he had the opportunity to continue his senior development before returning to his parent club.

Job is a right-footed attacker whose primary position is on the left wing. Standing at 1.74m, he now begins the next stage of his career in MLS after moving between several Norwegian clubs since 2024. His earlier senior registration also included a loan transfer involving Sarpsborg 08 before he joined the club permanently that summer.

The move represents a significant rise in transfer value for Job. His listed value was €500,000 when he joined Kongsvinger in February, while the agreement that takes him to Dallas is worth €4.5m.

Job joined Dallas on 2 September 2026, and the transfer moves him from Norway’s second-tier OBOS-ligaen to the MLS. He arrives with his strongest recorded league output to date, having combined goals and assists regularly for Kongsvinger during the opening part of the campaign.

The Nigeria-born player’s arrival adds a young wide attacker to the Dallas squad, with his recent record showing both scoring ability and creative contribution from the left side. He has signed a contract with the club running until 30 June 2030.
