Karim Coulibaly brings Ligue 2 experience to SR Colmar after Epinal exit

French-Senegalese centre-forward Karim Coulibaly has joined SR Colmar from SAS Epinal on a free transfer.

The 33-year-old completed the move on 1 September 2026, remaining in France’s National 1 after leaving Epinal, who also compete in the National 1 – Group A. Coulibaly gives Colmar an experienced attacking option, having played extensively in France’s professional and semi-professional divisions.

Coulibaly joined Epinal in November 2021 after a period without a club. He had previously left US Orleans in July of that year, following a free-transfer move from SC Toulon to Orleans in August 2020.

The centre-forward has recorded 95 appearances, 25 goals and eight assists in National 1. He has also played 59 times in Ligue 2, scoring 10 goals and registering three assists, while making 18 Ligue 1 appearances.

His career has included spells with AS Nancy, Willem II, SC Toulon, US Orleans and SAS Epinal. Coulibaly began his senior career at Nancy after progressing through the club’s youth system, and later moved to Dutch side Willem II in 2017 for a fee of €125,000.

During his time with Nancy, he was part of the side that won the French second tier in the 2015-16 season. He has also scored seven times in 19 Coupe de France appearances.

Coulibaly’s record includes experience in both French and Dutch football. With Willem II, he featured in the Eredivisie and the club’s reserve competitions, before returning to France with Toulon in January 2020.

He is listed as a left-footed centre-forward and stands 1.84 metres tall. Born in Bakel, Coulibaly holds French and Senegalese nationalities.

The move takes him to his latest French club after nearly five years with Epinal, where he arrived following his spell without a club. SR Colmar have now completed the signing of Karim Coulibaly on a free transfer.
