David Kamara emerges as Tranmere target in League Two transfer rumour

David Kamara, the England and Sierra Leone forward at Peterborough, has been linked with a move to Tranmere in League Two.

The 20-year-old centre-forward is listed as the subject of a potential switch from Peterborough’s under-21 setup to the Prenton Park club, with the rumour emerging on 1 September.

Kamara has made two appearances for Peterborough in the EFL Cup this season, playing 16% of the available minutes without scoring. He has not featured in the club’s League One campaign so far.

The striker joined Peterborough’s academy from Welling United in July 2024 and was part of the squad that won the Football League Trophy in the 2024-25 season.

Kamara has spent time away from Peterborough’s development group on loan, joining King’s Lynn in October 2025 before moving to Harborough the following month. He returned to Peterborough in February 2026.

A move to Tranmere would represent a switch to a League Two club for a player whose current deal with Peterborough runs until 30 June 2029. There is no indication that an agreement has been reached, and the proposed transfer remains at rumour stage.
