Cesena explore deal for Monza winger Omari Forson
England and Ghana winger Omari Forson is the subject of a rumoured move from Serie A club Monza to Serie B side Cesena.
Forson, 22, joined Monza from Manchester United on a free transfer in July 2024 and remains under contract with the Italian club until June 2028. The right winger has made two Serie A appearances during the 2026-27 season, both from the bench, playing 26 minutes in total.
He has also featured once in the Coppa Italia this campaign, scoring in a 70-minute appearance. That remains his only goal of the season.
Forson came through Manchester United’s academy and was part of the club’s FA Cup-winning squad in 2024. He won the FA Youth Cup with United’s under-18 side in 2021-22 before progressing to the club’s under-21 team and senior squad.
The possible move would involve a player who has had limited league minutes at Monza early in the season, despite making an impact in the cup. Cesena are competing in Serie B, while Monza remain in Italy’s top flight.
No transfer fee or probability has been established for the proposed move, and the rumour does not represent a confirmed agreement between the clubs. Forson’s existing contract with Monza runs through 30 June 2028.
