Alex Iwobi’s first goal of the season earns Fulham victory over Hull City

Alex Iwobi scored the only goal as Fulham beat Hull City 1-0 on Saturday to claim a valuable victory on the seventh matchday of the Premier League.

The Nigeria defensive midfielder broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute, ending his wait for a goal this season. His finish proved decisive as Fulham protected their narrow advantage through to the final whistle.

Iwobi started the match and completed the full 90 minutes. His contribution was recognised with the man-of-the-match award after he helped Fulham secure all three points.

The result also marked Iwobi’s seventh league appearance of the campaign, with the 30-year-old having featured in every match played by the club since the beginning of the season.

Iwobi is under contract at Fulham until June 2028 and is valued at €20m by Transfermarkt. His goal against Hull City was his first of the season and provided another important contribution for the London club in the Premier League.
