Keagan Dolly returns to PSL set-up with Hope FC move

Keagan Dolly has secured a return to the PSL set-up after joining newly promoted Hope FC for the 2026/27 season.

The 33-year-old midfielder became a free agent after leaving Cape Town City at the end of the previous campaign. He will now continue his career with Hope FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, bringing extensive top-level experience to the club.

Dolly had been training with the Cape Town-based side before the move was confirmed. His arrival gives Hope FC one of the most experienced players in their squad as they begin life in the Championship following promotion.

The club announced the signing on Facebook, describing Dolly as a player who required little introduction.

Dolly joins a Hope FC team that suffered defeat by Highbury FC over the weekend. The newly promoted side will hope his experience can help them adjust to the demands of the Motsepe Foundation Championship and compete more effectively during their debut campaign.

The former Kaizer Chiefs winger has played at the highest level both in South Africa and abroad, and his signing represents a significant addition for a club entering a new stage of its development.

Dolly’s move follows his departure from Cape Town City, where he spent the previous campaign before seeking a new opportunity for the 2026/27 season. His decision to join Hope FC means he will remain based in Cape Town while taking on a new challenge with the Championship newcomers.

The signing had been expected after reports emerged that Dolly was training with the club. Hope FC have now formally confirmed the agreement, allowing the midfielder to begin his association with the side known as the Immortals.

The development comes during a busy period in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. A separate report has also highlighted Magesi securing back-to-back wins in the competition.

For Hope FC, however, the focus will now be on integrating Dolly into the team and recovering from their weekend defeat to Highbury FC.
