Al-Ahly interested in Club Africain winger Phillippe Kinzumbi
DR Congo winger Phillippe Kinzumbi is being linked with a move from Tunisia’s Club Africain to Libya’s Al-Ahly.
The 27-year-old right winger joined Club Africain from TP Mazembe in August 2024 and remains under contract with the Tunisian club until 30 June 2027. The reported interest comes after he helped Club Africain win the Tunisian league title last season.
Kinzumbi has made two appearances in Ligue 1 this season, starting one match and contributing no goals or assists. He has played 66 minutes in the competition so far.
The left-footed attacker, who was born in Lubumbashi, has spent the majority of his senior career in the region. He moved to TP Mazembe from JS Groupe Bazano in 2020 before joining Club Africain on a free transfer four years later.
Al-Ahly are based in Libya and compete in the Libyan Premier League. The rumour does not include a reported transfer fee or a probability assessment, while Kinzumbi’s listed market value is €550,000.
Any move would therefore involve a player who is contracted to Club Africain for a further season beyond the current campaign, with the Tunisian side retaining his registration as the reported interest develops.
