Zabbar SP target Spezia midfielder Hamse Shagaxle in Malta move

Swedish-Somali midfielder Hamse Shagaxle is linked with a move from Spezia Calcio to Zabbar SP in Malta’s Premier League Opening Round.

The 21-year-old central midfielder joined Spezia on 17 February 2026 after leaving the club as a free agent. He has made one appearance in the current campaign, featuring for eight minutes in the Coppa Italia Serie C, while he has not played in Spezia’s opening two Serie C – Girone B matches.

Shagaxle’s reported switch would take him from Italy’s third tier to Zabbar SP’s Maltese competition. No transfer fee has been given for the proposed move, with his market value listed at €150,000.

The midfielder began his senior career with BK Forward before moving to Orebro SK in Sweden. He also spent part of the 2025-26 season on loan at Orebro Syr., returning to Orebro SK before becoming a free agent in January.

Shagaxle remains contracted to Spezia until 30 June 2028.
