Goztepe linked with Lecce midfielder Mohamed Kaba after Nantes loan spell

Guinean-French midfielder Mohamed Kaba is being linked with a move from Serie A club Lecce to Turkish side Goztepe.

Kaba, 24, returned to Lecce in June after spending the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at French club Nantes. He has a contract with the Italian side until 30 June 2027.

The central midfielder has made one appearance this season, playing seven minutes in the Italian Cup. He has not featured in Lecce’s opening two Serie A matches.

Kaba joined Lecce from Valenciennes in August 2023 in a deal worth €3m. He subsequently made his move to Nantes on loan in January 2026, with the French club paying a €500,000 loan fee, before returning to Italy at the end of the campaign.

His current market value is listed at €2.5m, while Lecce’s reported contractual position gives the club control of his future beyond the current transfer window.

Goztepe, who play in Turkey’s Super Lig, are the club currently associated with a move for the midfielder. No transfer has been confirmed, and the available information does not indicate whether negotiations have reached an advanced stage. Kaba remains a Lecce player and has yet to feature in Serie A this season.
