Trabzonspor linked with Genk’s Aaron Bibout after two-goal start

Cameroon forward Aaron Bibout, who plays for Genk, has been linked with a move to Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 21-year-old centre-forward has made four Jupiler Pro League appearances for Genk this season and scored twice, with his goals coming in 89 minutes of action. He has not started a league match and has played 25% of the available minutes.

Bibout joined Genk from Swedish club Vasteras SK in July 2025 in a deal worth €2.2m. His current market value is listed at €3.5m, while his contract with the Belgian club runs until 30 June 2029.

The forward was born in Yaounde and has previously been with clubs in the United States, including LA Galaxy and Tulsa, before moving to Europe. His senior career also included loan spells at Detroit City and Ventura County, but he established his current position at Genk after arriving in Belgium.

Trabzonspor’s interest comes after Bibout’s early-season goalscoring contribution, although there is no indication that a transfer has been agreed. Genk remain his current club and hold him under contract for almost three more years.
