Nantes linked with Monaco U21 striker Oumar Konate
Ivorian forward Oumar Konate is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Monaco U21 to Ligue 2 club Nantes.
Konate, 19, joined Monaco’s under-21 side from Abobo-based SOL FC in July 2025 and has since made limited senior appearances for the French club. He played nine minutes in Ligue 1 this season and has also featured for five minutes in the UEFA Conference League qualifying campaign.
The centre-forward’s potential move to Nantes comes as he remains part of Monaco’s development set-up, with his first-team involvement so far restricted to brief substitute appearances. Konate has not started a match in either of his recorded senior outings this season and has yet to register a goal or assist.
Nantes are currently listed as the club linked with the player, while Monaco U21 remain his current side. Konate’s market value is listed at €500,000, but the rumour does not include details of a proposed transfer fee or indicate whether the move would be permanent or temporary.
Konate joined Monaco last summer after leaving SOL FC d’Abobo, beginning his time in Europe with the club’s under-21 team. His current contractual position has not been disclosed, leaving the reported interest from Nantes as the latest development in his situation.
